A driver who who knocked over and killed a mum-of-two on her way to collect her children from school has admitted careless driving.
Shelton Hoilett, 77, knocked down Charmaine Duncan, 29, as she crossed a zebra crossing in Whitehorse Lane, Thornton Heath, on March 19 last year.
She died in hospital three days later. A post-mortem examination gave her cause of death as multiple injuries.
Mr Hoilett, of Selhurst Road, South Norwood, denied causing death by careless driving at Croydon Crown Court in February.
But he changed his plea this morning on what was due to be the first day of his trial.
He has not yet been sentenced.
