A competition to unearth Britain’s best striped lawn uncovered a winner in Claygate last year, and the reigning champion now sports an arched pattern.
Run by Allett Mowers, the competition aimed to find the country’s most imaginatively mowed lawn stripes and Mike Lee was announced as the winner with his "perfect waves" of light and dark green.
One year on and Mr Lee’s lawn now boasts an arched pattern.
Mr Lee said: "I put a lot of work into getting the lawn into a perfect condition and the waves consistent, but I never expected to win. "It was a fantastic honour."
