Hundreds of families turned out to pet farm animals, watch woodwork demonstrations, visit stalls and learn about conservation on Sunday.
Epsom Common Day, on Stamford Green, marked the 40th anniversary of Epsom Common Association.
Martin Gandy, chairman of the association, said the Lower Mole Project, spinners, wood-turners, a badger protection society and Surrey Wildlife Trust ran stalls.
Mr Gandy: "It was excellent. It was a really good day. From a small beginning with just a few people the association rapidly grew. We have about 800 members now."
