Adventurers who dare to travel to new heights are invited to do their bit for charity with a once-in-a-lifetime trek.

Princess Alice Hospice wants dedicated daredevils to tackle Mount Kilimanjaro, the Great Wall of China, Ben Nevis and Burma to raise funds.

The challenges promise to be like no other and will be filled with rich cultural heritage, historic buildings, dense forests and other breathtaking scenery.

Hospice supporter Jade Crumpler and her aunt, Benvon, raised more than £9,000 in memory of her father by reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro at the beginning of the year.

Ms Crumpler said: "I took on the challenge because I wanted to do something a bit different, I’d never done anything like it before; I hadn’t even stepped into a gym until I signed up.

"The sense of achievement was incredible when I reached the top. I know you get that from any challenge big or small but I don’t think anything will ever top that. It felt so surreal.

"My dad would have loved to have done something like this. He is probably looking down thinking ‘you’re an absolute nut case but I’m jealous I didn’t get to do it myself’."
