Pop star Jessie J has been spotted checking out the Price Tag on luxury homes near an exclusive housing estate recently bought by Middle Eastern royalty.

The singer, 26, whose hits include Who You Are, was seen house-hunting in Kingswood Warren, three miles from Epsom Downs Racecourse.

Jessie J is reported to have viewed a number of new gated developments in the area, close to an exclusive estate, Kingswood Warren Park, in which six multi-million pound homes were recently purchased by mystery buyers, understood to be an unnamed Middle Eastern sheikh.

The new owners have caused controversy by starting to erect high fences around the homes before a planning application for this had been considered by Reigate and Banstead Council.

The owners desisted when asked to stop by the council and have re-submitted a new planning application for the fences, which is currently under consideration by the council.

The songstress may have been viewing properties within a new development, Kingsworthy, where 11 luxury apartments and one detached luxury country home, close to Kingswood Warren Park, are being built.  The apartments will sell for up to £1million.

Viv Onslow, spokeswoman for the developer, Millgate, said: "Over the last few years people have been buying up older houses in Kingswood, taking them down and building more footballers’ wives style houses.

"What the area doesn’t have yet is a development of luxury apartments.

"They are not for first-time buyers.  They will be more for downsizers or single people coming out of London."

A number of footballers own properties in Kingswood, including Fulham’s Danny Murphy and Chelsea’s Arjen Robben.

Ms Onslow said an older-style house in the area goes for up to £2million and once re-built they are worth substantially more.

Richard Saunders, Kingsworthy’s agent, said: "I do not doubt these apartments will be snapped up very quickly.

"It has been a long time since country apartments of this calibre have come to the market and there is tremendous interest from local residents."

Kingswood Warren Park was a grand country estate.
