Eight contemporary artists will showcase their works in the Wellington Hangar at Brooklands Museum as part of a restoration project.
6plus2 Art Collective have worked at the museum since the start of the year and their efforts will be displayed for all to see during the Surrey Artists Open Studios fortnight.
Artists part of the collective each come from different and diverse backgrounds, with elements of drawing, photography, 3D, sound, moving image and performance all present.
The restore focuses on the Grade II listed hangar ahead of its planned dismantling, relocation and restoration in the next three years as part of the museum revival project.
A range of work by the art collective will be based around the theme of renewal and the ideas of restoration, decay and fragility.
A children’s performance workshop will also form part of the project on June 8.
