Detectives investigating the death of South Norwood man Michael Hunt have charged a 21-year-old man with his murder.
Arry James Green, of no fixed abode, is to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow to answer the charge.
Mr Hunt was found naked in a skip at the far end of an alleyway off Station Road, South Norwood at about 7am on Saturday.
He was suffering from injuries to his head and body which officers believe were consistent with an assault.
The 37-year-old, of Holmesdale Road, South Norwood, was taken by ambulance to Kings College Hospital, where he died shortly before midday.
Mr Hunt is an Irish national from Waterford, Ireland.
His next of kin have been informed of his death.
A post-mortem examination started on Sunday at Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.
It has yet to conclude so no cause of death for Mr Hunt has yet been given.
