A man walked into a court of law completely unaware he was armed with a sword.
A 56-year-old man walked into Lavender Hill Magistrates Court, in Battersea, on Tuesday, March 4.
Security staff searched him and found a sword concealed inside his walking stick.
The police arrested the man for possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
But further investigation revealed the man bought the walking stick as an ‘ornament article’ and had no idea of its lethal potential.
The man, from South East London, was given an adult caution.
