The trial of former Wimbledon resident Max Clifford began today at Southwark Crown Court.
The celebrity publicist, who now lives in Hersham, denies eleven accounts of indecent assault, including one which allegedly took place in Morden in the 1960s.
Mr Clifford spent his childhood years in Hardy Road, South Wimbledon, and worked at Elys department store, before being fired.
His illustrious media career began in 1959 working on the Merton and Morden Times.
Charges span from 1966 to 1984, and are from seven complainants aged 14 years to 19 years-old.
The trial is expected to last four weeks.
