Three crash victims were taken to hospital after two traffic accidents at the same junction in the space of just over 24 hours.
A 19-year-old man had neck and back pain following the first crash at the junction of Ruxley Lane and Kingston Road (A240), Ewell, at 6.50am on Saturday.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said the man, who remained conscious throughout, was carried on a long spine board and taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.
Of the crash, he said: “It looks like it was a car and a stationary vehicle.”
Then at about 8.30am on Sunday there was another traffic accident at the same junction after a driver reportedly ignored a red light.
On Sunday Surrey Police road officers’ Twitter account said minor injuries had been sustained during the crash on the A240.
It said: “Someone ignored the red traffic light.”
The ambulance service spokesman said a female passenger, with chest pains, was taken to St George’s Hospital and another woman went to Epsom Hospital.
He said: “We sent a total of three ambulances.”
