A 76-year-old woman was cut from a car after a collision involving two cars in Coulsdon last night.
Firefighters from Purley fire station were called to Marlpit Lane at 11pm, where there they had to cut a woman from her Nissan Micra.
She suffered hip and upper leg injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.50pm and we sent an ambulance crew and a responder in a car.
"Our staff treated a 76-year-old woman, she was concious, but suffered from pain in her hip and a cut to her knee.
"She was stabilised at the scene involving being given oxygen and a pain reducing drug before being taken as a priority to St George's Hospital.
"Our staff were at the scene for quite a while and left the scene at 11.15pm."
The female driver of the second car- a BMW, was able to get out of her vehicle unaided.
Police also attended the incident but no arrests were made.
