South West Trains (SWT) services will not run before 10am, the operator has said.
After severe gales and trees falling on tracks yesterday, SWT said each line must be checked for safety reasons before trains can travel.
It added that maintenance teams have worked "through the night" to carry out repairs.
Ticket restrictions have been lifted across the network, meaning passengers can travel at any time.
