A student has won a competition to design a Christmas card for one of Croydon’s MPs.
Lewis Dyges, 10, was the best of the bunch as designed a Christmas card for Croydon North MP Steve Reed.
The Gonville Primary Academy pupil was given a special certificate and a prize during a school assembly.
Lewis’ winning design has been printed and delivered to community leaders across Croydon North, with all costs paid by the GMB trade union.
Commenting after the special assembly, Steve Reed MP said: “I was astonished by the very high standard of entries this year.
“It was very hard to pick a winner, but Lewis’s design stood out for its use of colour, visual impact and a very Christmassy feel.
“Lewis is clearly a very talented young man and I hope he and all the other children who entered the competition have a very happy Christmas.”
