Christmas cheer and joy was shared at with patients and staff at Walton Community Hospital this week.
The Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Mike Bennison, paid a festive visit on Tuesday, December 3, to help set the mood for the Christmas season and to pay tribute to hospital staff who will be working during that time.
Coun Bennison said: “It can be a difficult time of year to be ill with all the festivities, especially if you are a patient in hospital.
"It is great seeing the all the hard work that staff are doing to care for these patients at this special time.”
Claire Hooper, care matron at the hospital said the visit helped to bring a smile to patients’ faces.
Walton Community Hospital, Rodney Road, has an x-ray department, rapid access centre, podiatry department and also specialises in rehabilitation from illness and injury.
