A nine-year-old from Addiscombe saved by an organ transplant used an event celebrating his recovery to call on other people to join the organ donor register.
William Milne, who has cerebral palsy, held an event at the Oval Tavern on Saturday, to celebrate five years since his life saving bowel transplant operation, a major milestone in his recovery.
He lights a candle each year to thank the young girl whose bowel he was given after she died in a road traffic accident.
