A Sea Cadet band from Sutton have returned from performing for a senior Royal Navy admiral in Portugal.
Sutton Sea Cadets were requested by Rear Admiral T M Lowe, Royal Navy, Deputy Commander Strike Force NATO, to play at a dinner celebrating the 208th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar.
The band entertained guests during the dinner at the Portugese Naval Officer’s Wardroom, the Messe de Cascais, Lisbon, on November 1.
During their visit, the cadets also played at St Paul’s Church, Estoril, the British Retirement Home, Sao Pedro, and were asked to perform at STRIKFORNATO’s Headquarters’s Officer’s Mess.
