I read carefully the CCGs article - endeavouring to understand the complete message I notice again population increases in London are not mentioned as a forward looking consideration.
Wikipedia gives some revealing statistics for 2013.
It states London Metropolitan Area estimates population at present as 13 million for the area. The population of Great Britain is quoted as 63 million.
So if these figures are correct then over a fifth of the UK population are living in the London Metropolitan area.
If this is so then is the Government allocating over a fifth plus of all its NHS funding to the UK to London?
I do not know the figures for Government funding but doubt whether London is receiving a sensible allocation of national funding.
Now ponder further - what could happen to the London population in another 10 years – at the current rate of increase it could be another 5+ million people.
In my opinion population increase is the major problem which all concerned with NHS funding should be considering.
