Popular nightclub the Black Sheep Bar has closed.
The venue was well liked amongst students and was well known for its alternative music scene.
Paul Bossick and his father Howard ran the club and recently opened another club Bad Apple earlier this year.
Fans of the club have taken to twitter to express their sadness at the club shutting.
Stephanie Darkes, who did some work at the club, tweeted: “Really sad to hear of the closure of the Black Sheep Bar. I learnt a lot there, met amazing friends and had some great times.
“It will always have a special place in my heart. It is a sad day for Croydon.”
The reasons behind the closure are not yet known but it is believed to have shut for financial reason sparking doubts about Croydon’s night time economy.
