A man has appeared in court charged with historic sexual offences.
William Ashton, of St Helens, Merseyside, appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court yesterday (November 12) accused of 14 counts of indecent assault between 1973 and 1988 and a rape in 1984.
The alleged offences took place in Sutton and Liverpool.
Ashton, who was granted bail, indicated that he denies all charges. He is due to appear at Croydon Crown Court on November 26.
