Five luxury cars have been stolen outside homes across Wallington and Banstead.

Police believe the homes were targeted for keys to vehicles parked outside during three burglaries in the early hours of the morning, between October 14 and 21.

The cars included three BMWs a Mercedes and a Range Rover.

Seven top-end vehicles were also stolen during burglaries in neighbouring boroughs in Kingston, Merton and Croydon from October 13 and 22.

In Birchwood Avenue, Wallington, a BMW X5 and BMW 320 were taken on Monday, October 14.

In Northway, Wallington, a BMW X5 was taken on Wednesday, October 16. It was recovered the following day in East London.

In Higher Drive, Banstead, a Mercedes E250 and Range Rover Evoque were stolen on October 21. 

Police are urging drivers to park their vehicles in their garages if at all possible and to take extra steps to secure their homes, such as installing security lighting and alarms.
