Hot air balloons, owls and bouncy castles all made this year's Eid family fun day a rip-roaring success.
The annual event to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, the end of the Hajj or pilgrimage to Mecca, took place this year at Richmond College in Twickenham on Saturday, October 19.
Children from all different backgrounds and communities were given the opportunity to take flight in a hot air balloon as well as ride ponies and get their face painted.
Others chose to take part in a series of wacky science lessons, learning to make gunge on the college's playing fields.
The event raised £6,800 on the day which after costs will see £2,500 donated to charities the Greenwood Centre and the Feltham Hira Association.
Organiser Juwaria Rahman said: "We had a very good turnout from a range of backgrounds, well over a thousand people and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, especially the children.
"The hot air balloon was on display and added to the atmosphere, we even had people stop and ask what was happening and come back around the A316 to join in the celebrations."
The community event aimed to promote multiculturalism and celebrate community cohesion.
Dads had the chance to receive a relaxing massage and could also take part in a beat the goalie and take the little ones on fairground rides.
Mayor of Richmond Councillor Meena Bond was special guest for the day along with the Mayor of Hounslow.
