Esher and Walton MP Ian Taylor has again been selected by his party to fight the next election.

Following a meeting of the Esher & Walton Conservative Association executive council, Ian Taylor MP was successfully re-adopted as the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for the next general election.

Mr Taylor said after the meeting: "It is a great privilege to serve the Esher & Walton constituency as Member of Parliament.

"I am thoroughly enjoying speaking up for my constituents in Parliament.

"I also find it very satisfying to assist local people with the many and varied problems, personal as well as political, that they bring to me on a daily basis.

"Although I have been an MP for nearly 20 years, my enthusiasm remains high and I am fit and eager to continue.

"In my view, I can usefully bring to bear the experience I have gained and a readiness to speak out to the benefit of constituents and the House of Commons.

"I look forward to seeking the continued support of the electorate whenever the general election is called."
