Firefighters were called to a taxi on fire in New Malden last night.
New Malden fire station attended the vehicle which is believed to have set fire after its engine burst into flames at about 8pm in Coombe Lane.
David Colley, temporary watch manager, said: “Nobody was hurt – the taxi driver got out alright. The engine was damaged.”
