A warning to carers and wheelchair users in Sutton. I was shopping last Monday with my mother who is a wheelchair user.
I won't let her carry her bag on her lap so have a bag that hangs on the handles between me and the wheelchair, to carry our handbags. This bag was zipped up with shopping on top and I still cannot believe that some low life scum got my handbag.
The only time we got separated was when my mother moved forward to let some people past in the card shop and in that time my bag was taken. My mother is neither deaf or daft but heard and saw nothing. They even managed to do the zip back up in what could only have been a couple of minutes. It wasn't until I went to the till I realised my loss.
I hope one day the thief suffers the inconvenience that I have because of this.
I would like to warn others, I took precautions but it still happened.
