Dulwich Hamlet boss Wayne Burnett has urged his players to follow prolific marksman Chris Dickson's lead and prove they are not a one-man team.

The Champion Hill outfit sit top of the pile in Ryman Division One South table on goal difference, thanks largely to a remarkable 23 goals so far this season from their hotshot hitman.

Burnett's boys have found the net more regularly than any other team in the division this term, and Dickson was on target again as Dulwich beat troubled Kingstonian 1-0 at home on Saturday.

The boss believes it is time for the rest of his players to follow suit to maintain his team's position at the top until April.

"Chris is a big part of what we are trying to do here. We are far from just a one-man team but we need other players to pull their weight in front of goal as well," he said.

"If we can get players scoring from different positions on the pitch, we will be doing something right.

"And, if Chris can continue his current form, we will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season."

Burnett's team piled on the misery for beleaguered Ks boss Stuart McIntyre on Saturday, as Dickson's second-half strike sent his side top and extended Ks' run of ten games without a win.

And Burnett was delighted with the three points he felt Hamlet's performance merited, as well as a clean sheet after conceding six goals in two games.

"We wanted to put the fact we haven't kept many clean sheets well and truly behind us and I thought we deserved the win," he added.

"We dominated long periods of the game and, but for 15 or 20 minutes, we were the much better side.

"We have had a couple of slip-ups in recent weeks, when we have managed to get to the top of the table and hopefully we can stop that happening again."

On Saturday, Dulwich start a run of four away games in the next five fixtures with a trip to Imber Court and a clash with an improving Met Police, who turned over Dover Athletic 1-0 at the weekend.
