Ex-servicemembers moved into a new home in Surbiton.
The Royal Star and Garter home in Upper Brighton Road opened last weekend with space for 63 residents.
They moved after the Richmond Hill home closed.
Residents were given the chance to choose how their rooms would be decorated, from curtain fabric to what colours the walls would be painted.
Pauline Shaw, director of care, said: “We recognised that leaving our Richmond home would be an emotional and nostalgic time.
“We are delighted to report that [residents] are now settling into their new home and environment very well.”
Chief executive Mike Barter said: “It was a privilege to welcome the residents as they arrived.”
