Four people were hospitalised after a crash last night.

Sutton fire fighters said two cars collided in Brighton Road at about 9.45pm.

A London Ambulance Spokesman said they sent four ambulance crews and an officer in a car to the accident.

The spokesman said: “Four patients were treated at the scene and all went to hospital.

“Three went to St George’s and one went to St Helier.”

It is not believed their injuries were serious.

Sutton fire fighter David Gardener said: “It was two cars in a collision. The passenger in the back of one of the cars was injured.

“We got in there pretty quickly.

“We were able to give first aid and then the ambulance came.”
