I write in praise of our Mayday Hospital, for I feel it is not appreciated and frequently criticised.

I am 88 and suffer fools badly - criticising is easy, running a hospital is not.

I was in our Mayday' for three weeks with a broken hip after a bad fall. I was suffering from shock and was given loving care and even an air bed.

Surely Mayday nurses are the best in the country? It's the managers who need criticising as the wheelchairs and trolleys are old and falling apart.

I was in Queens 2 ward and I miss all the loving care and, incidentally, the good food.

So I say once again, a big thank you to Mayday and the nurses and doctors, who are the best staff anywhere.
