Eco-friendly MP Tom Brake supports a local school’s plans to spend £7,500 on installing an electric car charging point.
Mr Brake visited Wandle Valley School in Carshalton last Friday to commend them on raising awareness of eco-friendly sustainability in the community.
Mr Brake said: "The extra investment in charging points will not only provide a boost to the car industry, but also help protect our environment from damaging emissions.
"It’s great to see Wandle Valley School setting an example and helping get Carshalton and Wallington ready for a key industry of the future."
The charging point will be available to the public in hopes of making a positive effect in the community.
Mr Brake also tested an electric car as part of his visit.
