A group of community projects have clubbed together to try and transform people’s lives in Sutton.
The Sutton Collective, a group of 12 voluntary projects, hope to use JustGiving’s new community “crowdfunding” tool to raise funds over the next thirty days for projects that will benefit Sutton.
The projects include raising £1,700 to keep Polly the pony fed, watered and looked after at the Diamond Riding Centre for Disabled Riders and opening a new youth club on the Shanklin Estate.
Councillor Simon Wales, lead member for finance, assets and the voluntary sector, said: “It’s wonderful to see so many local causes getting involved.
“Each and every one of these projects plays a significant role in the lives of our residents and I’m proud that the people of Sutton have embraced the idea and are getting behind it.”
Pledges of support can be made until September 19.
