Grab your Hawaiian shirt and a lucky charm and head to Sandown Park for a party to say goodbye to summer.

Promising to be a fun day out for all the family before the children go back to school and parents head back into the world of work, the Betfred Summer Raceday will have something for everyone.

Horseracing action will grace the famous Portsmouth Road track, with parents able to place a bet if they are feeling lucky while youngsters admire the beauty of the animals.

Alongside the racing, a range of activities and live entertainment ranging from a steel band, fairground stalls, face painters and balloon modellers, will undoubtedly keep the brood at bay.

For a real taste of summer, barbecue food, ice cream, strawberries and cream and freshly-pressed lemonade will be available.

If that was not enough, a Hawaiian shirt competition will take place, so expect to be surrounded by a sea of loud and colourful shirts which are usually seen in more exotic countries.

For those who want to get the weekend started early, an afternoon of racing will also take place at Sandown Park on Friday, August 30.

People can relax and soak up the atmosphere and excitement of the competition flat racing ahead of the summer race day.
