Allders narrowly missed out on a prestigious fashion award.
The North End store was placed in the Draper's fashion awards shortlist, in the Independent Department Store of the Year category.
Despite beating 56 other stores to make it to the final four, Allders lost out to eventual winner Clerys of Dublin.
Allders' chief executive Andrew Mackenzie commented: "From being threatened with closure to second best in the whole of the UK in a little over 18 months is a stunning achievement and one that all our staff should be very proud of."
