Police are "keeping an open mind" as to whether a car fire in Beddington Park has anything to do with a nearby traveller camp.
Firefighters were called to a blazing car they say was torched deliberately in a car park in Church Road at 9.30pm on Saturday.
Police are investigating the fire and a spokesman said they are keeping an open mind as to whether is linked to a travellers who set up a camp in Beddington Park last week.
Police and the Sutton Council are working together in an effort to move the encampment on from the popular public park.
