Police need more time to investigate the stabbing of a sixteen-year-old boy in New Malden.
Two teenagers were told to report to a south west London police this week in connection with the attack, but were told to go home and return in September.
At the time the young victim was taken to hospital after he was found bleeding outside a KFC chicken shop in High Street on Wednesday, July 3.
He was stabbed in Blagdon Park just five minutes away from where he ended up.
Witnesses had reported seeing the boy slumped against the wall of the KFC, surrounded by people, with a bandage soaked with blood.
Friends said he lived on the Cambridge Gardens Estate and was a former pupil of Southborough High School.
Two boys aged 16 and 17, will return to a south west London police station in September after further enquiries by police are made.
