One of the best traditional shows in the area will be back this year, with entertainment and attractions to keep the whole family busy.

The West End Summer Show will feature children’s sports, Young’s horse rides, dunk the damsel, smash-a-plate and Punch and Judy out on the green.

Meanwhile, inside the marquee, 140 classes covering flower arranging, cookery and photography will be on offer and arts and crafts materials will also be on sale.

The Dog Show, courtesy of the Kennel Club, will return once again to find the best dogs in the borough, including the best veteran and the dog with the waggiest tail.

A classic cars display, a silver band and a bucking bronco will also provide fun for all of the family.
