Lead thieves targeted three buildings in Carshalton and Wallington, including a school.
Police have warned people to be vigilant after the thefts, which all happened this week.
Strips of lead were taken from the roof of Carshalton Boys Sports College in Winchcombe Road between 1.45am and 2am on Tuesday. The thieves left by the rear exit of the school.
There was an attempt to steal lead that had been pulled back from the roof above a communal doorway to a block of flats in Brambledown Road, Wallington, on Monday, August 5.
Police think the culprits may have been disturbed before they were able to remove the valuable metal.
Lead was also stolen from a flat roof in Woodbourne Gardens, Wallington, between 8pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday.
Police say anyone who sees anything suspect should call 999 immediately.
