Crystal Palace are poised to offer Swedish striker Osman Sow a permanent deal at Selhurst Park.

The 23-year-old has been on trial with the Eagles this summer and has impressed enough in three pre-season appearances to be considered part of Ian Holloway's Premier League plans - with the player understood to have been told he will be given a contract.

Having already played against Dagenham & Redbridge and Gillingham, Sow scored a volley in the 4-0 pre-season friendly defeat of Ireland's Waterford United on Saturday.

He began his career at AFC United in the Swedish third tier before moving to Moldovan side FC Dacia Chisinau in 2011, where he made four appearances in last season's Europa League competition.

He joined Swedish top flight side Syrianska in May and has scored twice in seven games for them - bringing his career total to 22 goals in 63 appearances.

Sow's goal on Saturday rounded off an impressive display from Palace, with strikes from Stephen Dobbie, Dwight Gayle and Ibra Sekajja - who was this week called up to the Uganda squad - putting Palace 3-0 up before Sow completed the win.

Palace play Dulwich Hamlet tonight and complete their pre-season preparations against Italian giants Lazio at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
