Congrats: The team at ASPH
Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals’ care of the elderly team has received national recognition in the Care Integration Awards 2013.
The project has won the highly commended award in the musculoskeletal care category.
The care of the elderly team aims to reduce falls and fractures in care homes and prevents emergency admissions to hospital by provides care home staff with training in early assessment and prevention of trauma.
The team also won a HSJ award in November 2012 for their nursing homes project which aims to improve healthcare for elderly nursing home residents and reduce emergency admissions to hospital.
