Sutton United player Sam Rents was the star attraction at a police-backed footballing event that ran last week.
The centre-back handed out signed photographs to children at the Cheam Community Football Coaching Event at Cheam Recreation Ground on Friday, August 2.
Rents' visit marked the final day of the programme that attracted around 200 children and was organised by the Cheam safer neighbourhood team.
Inspector Richard Hall said: "It’s really important for police to engage with young people and to show that behind the uniform we are no different to anybody else."
"I look forward to seeing them represent England in the future."
