The mayor of Elmbridge organised a fun day for children with learning difficulties in partnership with his charity for the year.

The morning of the fun day was filled with riding followed by an afternoon of fun activities inside the equestrian centre used by the Riding for the Disabled Leatherhead and Horsley and Bookham groups.

Children enjoyed horse riding sessions along with leading their horses to where they could give them an apple.

Mayor of Elmbridge Councillor Mike Bennison said: β€œIt was a lovely opportunity to see the dedicated in-school work that Riding for the Disabled Leatherhead and Horsley and Bookham Groups undertakes and a fantastic fun occasion.”

At the end of the fun day, Coun Bennison presented the children with medals to commemorate their participation.
