Two banks were affected when thieves stole internet and phone cables in Worcester Park.
On Saturday thieves took copper cables from Central Road, causing two banks to lose some services.
This included cash machines not working properly.
Both NatWest and Santander lost their services at about 11.30am on Saturday as copper cable was cut and stolen in broad daylight.
According to customers in the banks, they have both been running a limited service since.
One said: "There have been so many road works around here that people dressed as workmen and taking cable just wouldn’t be noticed."
Another said: "The staff don't seem to know what to do, I don't think they are able to communicate with head office via the systems, so there are stood around at a bit of a loss."
BT has said it must apply for planning permission to do the necessary digging to fix the cables, but it is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
