A reward of up to £1,000 has been offered for information about an armed robbery at a Caterham travel agents.

Detectives from East Surrey CID appealed for information about the incident at Thomas Cook on Croydon Road, which happened at 2.40pm on Monday July 8, during BBC Crimewatch last night.

Staff were threatened with what is believed to have been a gun, before the man left with a sum of money.

CCTV footage taken during the incident was shown during the appeal, and anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the robbery could claim the reward of up to £1,000 from charity Crimestoppers.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Sean Kelly, said: "The man caught on CCTV is wanted in connection with this offence and I would urge members of the public not to approach or challenge him but to contact officers immediately if you can identify him or know his whereabouts."
