A burst water main in Tolworth has disrupted supply to 37 properties.

Firefighters and police were called to Tolworth Rise North when a four-inch pipe burst in the early hours of this morning.

The water was diverted away from homes and traffic on the A3 was unaffected, police said.

Thames Water apologised for the disruption and said it has handed out bottled water to residents.

Engineers arrived at about 3am and are now working to fix the leak.

Firefighters were called at about 1.30am.

A driveway was damaged by the water.
