The owner of a house listed on an estate agents’ website without any photos of its inside "due to the owners’ hobby" has said "there’s nothing to see" inside.

McCann’s estate agents, based in Epsom High Street, put up a listing on its website for a three-bedroom, semi-detached house in Eastcroft Road, West Ewell, which is on sale for £337,950.

While the website provided images of the front of the house and two if its garden, a fourth picture tab carried a statement saying "due to the owners hobby, we are unable to take internal photographs".

The cryptic statement caused a Twitter frenzy with people speculating on the owner’s hobby.

A reporter from this newspaper visited the house yesterday evening to try to clarify the situation.

The silver-haired man said he did not understand why people are intrigued by the interior of his home and said he "has nothing to hide".

The man did say that it was a "personal hobby" but "nothing structural".

He added: "There’s nothing to see.

"It’s nothing to do with anyone else."

Another man, who was looking round the property while the Epsom Guardian’s reporter spoke to the owner at his front door, emerged from the property and said "there’s really no story here".

The house had its curtains drawn and a ‘for sale’ sign was not displayed anywhere on the property.
