A Croydon benefit cheat owned a share of two homes in the same street and spent £20,000 on her two daughters' weddings, Croydon Crown Court heard.
Despite claiming housing benefit and council tax refunds Naveed Latif also had £112,000 tucked away, the court was told last week.
It was estimated she had obtained an overpayment of £21,411.
Latif pleaded guilty to making false representations. A community order was imposed on her and she must carry out 240 hours unpaid work. She will also have to pay £11,411 compensation and £3,770 costs.
