A charity shop manager had always dreamed of doing a skydive, but for her it meant losing 10st to complete the terrifying challenge.
Fiona Nicol’s extreme weight loss, which was aided by a gastric sleeve, dieting and exercise, has spurred her on to raise money for Princess Alice Hospice.
The manager of the charity’s Staines shop said: “Princess Alice Hospice was a local charity close to my heart as family friends had been supported by the team, and the nurses did a fantastic job caring for my best friend’s grandfather.”
The 33-year-old hopes to raise £1,000 from the 12,000ft tandem skydive.
