A tidy up of the Upper Norwood Joint Library car park is to take place tomorrow (June 22).
Organised by Crystal Palace Transition Town, volunteers are wanted to help clear rubbish, do some weeding and discuss the possibility or creating some flowerbeds.
Volunteers should bring gardening gloves, secateurs or shears where possible, though some equipment will be available to use. Children are welcome, but must be supervised by an adult.
Robert Gibson, a member of the Upper Norwood Library Trust and Crystal Palace Transition Town, said: "Our much loved library is a very important part of our community and an anchor to our high street feeding additional customers into our independent retailers who do so much for our local economy.
"We are expecting a great turnout. As our library serves all five boroughs that make up Crystal Palace it would be nice to see some of our local politicians get involved too."
