More than 100 people turned out for a street party organised by residents who wanted to bring the community together and reclaim the streets for children.
Families brought along food and drink, set up tables and wheeled out barbeques for the event in Galesbury Road and Jeypore Road on Saturday, June 8.
Children set up stalls to sell homemade lemonade, old books and toys, and joined in games including eating donuts off a string.
They also enjoyed a bouncy castle and live band organised by estate agents Jacksons, who sponsored the party.
Residents said the day was a real success, with many neighbours meeting for the first time, and hope to plan a similar event in the future.
