Opponents of the healthcare reforms being introduced by the Government are being urged to join a protest tomorrow to be held in the Health Secretary’s constituency.
The Hunt for Hunt, which will take place on Saturday, June 15, in MP Jeremy Hunt's constituency, Farnham, has been organised by the Save Lewisham Hospital Campaign and is supported by the Unite union, but aims to bring together everyone who "opposes the privatisation of the NHS."
Coaches will be travelling to Farnham from Hammersmith, Ealing and Kingston.
A leaflet for the event states: "We are going to the health secretary’s constituency to find him. Come with us for a day of leafleting, petitioning, canvassing and peaceful protesting."
It states it wants to unite people who are "calling on Hunt to stop the closure of vital hospital services, stop the privatisation of the NHS, and protect local hospitals for local people."
Coaches leave King Street, Hammersmith at 8.15am, the corner of Longfield Avenue and Gordon Road, Ealing at 9.00am, and Kingston University, in Penrhyn Road, at 9.45am.
