A man charged with the murder of a man on a Kingston estate has appeared in court today.
Andrew Nichols, 44, of Fordham, Excelsior Close, on the Cambridge Road estate in Kingston, appeared at the Old Bailey this morning, charged with the murder of 28-year-old Colin Bolton.
Mr Bolton, from Sheephouse Way, Old Malden, died on Monday after being stabbed to death inside a flat in Thursley House, on the Kingsnympton estate in Kingston Hill.
Mr Nichols wore a grey sweatshirt and only spoke to confirm his name, saying "Yeah" when Judge Christopher Moss addressed him.
Bail was not applied for, and Mr Nichols was remanded in custody to appear for a plea hearing on Wednesday, August 28.
Formal identification of Mr Bolton's body is expected later today.
